Route Pack SEAD A-4Es

Postby 000rick000 » Thu Jun 25, 2020 6:00 am

From a mission the other night with 8 guys. 6 Blue, 1 Red and 1 Red GCI. Very fun! From mine and my wingman's perspective. You can see the guys in the F-4 holding for us to start up and taxi out. We were +04 to supress AAA in the TGT area.

This mission was very fun. We had a single Red Air MiG-21 harassing us and the Phantoms, controlled by a GCI, using the F10 map and the FOG of war and visuals provided by 2 Fansong Radars North of the Target area and using SRS AWACS mode. Red Pilot had unlimited Regen capabilities.

No prob. It's DCS World. With the community freeware A-4E module.

Of course. The screens don't do it justice. There 88mm 40mm 23mm and smaller all coming up at us.... pretty crazy. Using WWII asset pack for FLAK as well. Those things when they go off don't just look like flak, they rock your jet if close and are startlingly loud in your headset. But yes, there were hits every pass. We had F-4's come in low level popup and level that bridge.

The F4s were AI I presume? That's one of the things that I just can't be bothered with in DCS is setting stuff like this up

Negative, all human pilots. AI is for BVR practice only! Had strike freq and flight freq. F4s providing CAP and LL strike. So we were on comms with ETAs and status with both flights. Leading up to.and during our Alpha strike.

Didn't know there was a flyable F4 for DCS. Very interesting. Too complex for me I'm afraid

Meh....it has a stick, rudder, and throttles....point the nose where you want to go, flip the master arm switch, select the weapon you want, press the button....BOOM.

Rick ....that's just cruel :P
Dumb question ...how do I get the A4? I've watched a couple of youtube clips, but they jump to a page or setting I cant find.

Great shots

Just DL, and drop the entire contents into your>>...Saved Games\[Your DCS Folder Name]\Mods\aircraft\

That's it. Done. Go Fly!

If those folders don't exist, just make them. It will work.

Risk what image hosting site do you use and what type of image are they? For some reason Firefox wont render them. They are fine with other browsers.

They are links from a Discord gamers app. I created my own personal one to host all my images. Weird I have no issues seeing them in Firefox
