Thanks everyone!
This is good fun. I hadn't seen it before, 1975 was after I left the UK and before I got into cyberspace. I remember Fyfe Robertson well, and I am sure some of you will too. He was a sort of commentator for all purposes for BBC-TV. In the early/mid 1960s, I was watching some open-wheeler racing at Brands Hatch, when Jack Brabham (he wasn't Sir Jack then) had an engine let go, leaving a trail of oil and sundry bits of engine all down pit straight. Fyfe was soon in the pits to get an in-depth report...
"I see you're out of the race, Jack, what was the trouble?"
"Ignition failure."
"Ignition failure???"
"Yeah, Fyfe - a rod came through the block and cut the lead from the battery."

What a cracker of a doco, hadn't seen that before. Bookmarked for sure, some excellent footage, and the audio was impressive too aye?

Are those songs backing the video about Robbie himself? Bit of a legend by the looks

Not sure - but looking at the closing credits it seems the thing was set up around a character called Robbie, and some genius said "Let's get Fyfe Robertson to play the role".
Glad you liked it

Hah that may explain it then

PS speaking of obnoxiously loud aircraft (ala Concorde) has anyone else been following the impressive footage from the RAF bases (Fairford etc) that USAF has been launching missions from during this Iran business, these B2s are a thing to behold aren't they?

Watch on youtube.com

even been some U-2 action at the same fields, didn't realise until seeing this that the wing-tip undecarriage plops off as they take off and has to be unceremoniously re-attached after landing...
