The PC tech chat is above me but I like your choice of aeroplane, I put a few hours on EOX years ago. I believe it was the very first aeroplane Air Nelson owned. It's a lovely livery. I may do some more sessions with it :)

I've installed this today, and I do like it a lot. I have GSX, but it's been a while since I used it, as it takes a bit of maintaining, so I ran ApronLife just with AIG and it does exactly what is promised. At the moment I'm updating GSX, I just have to remember how to actually use it. But failing that, I'd be happy just to use ApronLife.

I think the problem with that Sales page display (not the looney prices) is that it's *huge* - as it's not broken down into sub-pages. Each item has a pretty large thumbnail image, so the whole page takes forever to load. Some browsers can be set to load/show content progressively, while others wait until the download completes ... hence the apparent freeze. Anyway - there's very little on that page that I'd be even remotely interested in buying ;)

Yes, I'm really enjoying the iFly one too, and it will be even better when the fully native 2024 one is released.

I've been playing around with the Global flight despatcher and I have to say it works very well indeed. It even selects the pax and freight load and then it can be sent to Simbrief. The most recent experience was to choose a flight out of Manchester EGCC in the ATR with a range to destination of up to 60 min. It came up with Cardiff EGFF as a destination, being 1hr 1 min block to block. That can then be exported to Simbrief, ready for importing into the ATR MCDU. The whole flight plan can be generated and imported into an FMS in less time than it takes to figure out where to start from! It...

Flightradar24 have released this on their blog ... Sounds the start of something really good. But, even thought I am a Navigraph fan, I do hope someone else enters the flight simulator market for access to live flight data otherwise Navigraph might get the monopoly here.

So .. does it link to Paypal? I can't remember!!!! Not as far as I'm aware, it uses Stripe, which is a payment processing service, where I can withdraw funds to my bank. This isn't really what I was aiming for, I really just wanted to be able to cover part of the cost of my 3D AI subscription which can be paid with Paypal. However, I think they also accept Stripe, so I'll have to check if it behaves like Paypal, and I can use my Stripe balance. It's all a bit complicated. With Paypal, turns out you have to have a business/non-profit account to accept donations, so it isn't for everyone. Don't...

Those of us old enough to remember VCRs will not have forgotten that the quickest way to program a recording schedule was to kidnap the nearest illiterate 5yr-old in the neighbourhood...

Yes their C-17 is as much as I could ask for in my sim... I have the Miltech MH60 - is this a different flavour of Black Hawk, then?

I feel like it they were to be good web citizens  then they'd configure their system so the old links still worked when the new site is launched, and that the old links go to their new destination (if they move) In that case I'd just save yourself some work for now and leave them as they are, unless there's a way you could not lose the old link info but when we click on your link for now it just pops up w something at your end to say the link will be reinstated later ... hopfeully That's what I have done now - thanks for the inspiration! Hopefully, they will be good citizens ...

Nice, simple to use too, had a play w the random flight generator which is snazzy. Wonder if the developer has a formal agreement w FR24 to access the data? If the site gets popular they'll need one This can potentially replace my ridiculously long spreadsheet I've built up over the last year or so of places I SHOULD fly but probably never will

Thankee, kind sir

 I didn't want anyone to feel left out. Marty has more sims than you can poke a stick at.

Amazing Have you tried it on a phone? Beggars belief.. :o No thanks - phones that can handle AFS4 cost twice as much as a decent PC. I think the professional complainers from the lower reaches of the IPACS forum are buying the cheapest phone they can find and using it to cast the sim to the quarter-acre flat screen TV they all have in their bedrooms. My eyes are too old for that sort of caper.

Correct on both counts Charl :D
