Yep its all i use for flight planning now as well. Its a petty its not like G earth where you can turn on the elevation and look around in a 1st person perspective. It always helps to know what terrain your flying over esecialy if your going in under the radar. Perhaps they should develop it as a pluggin to google earth rather than the other way around. You can also have the map running on a networked machine. My ipod comes to mind. I wonder...

Choccie Fish to you then for following up on that! Another when we are flying with the VC - I still have faith. With permission, I am going to quote you on this. Note to FS suppliers: Beware, Wing Commander Warren has a broken computing installation and is on the prowl. Y'all had better be set to put your best forward until he has his toys back...

Haven't learnt how. Sorry. I had a brief period with FSX but went back to FS9 after about a month. Just personal preference, I guess. Will be uploading to Avsim today. Goff

As to POSKY.... They are way past due a shakeup in the way they go about things. Navigating their website requires a working knowledge of binary machine code. "Assembling" one of their offerings is generally more trouble than it's worth, I've only done it fully for their amazing 777. And, the FDE department needs new blood. So this could be good news all round, I don't see Hiroshi disappearing too easily.

QUOTE (IslandBoy77 @ Nov 20 2010, 09:35 AM) Looks like an awesome effort. How does this compare to the default FSX one? I don't fly the MD-83, so am not familiar with the default model. Let's put it this way a default model like FSX md 83 can be done in TWO hours..a couple hours While this one took me 4 month ,I can't explain myself in a shot ,but there is Wing flex animation ,bumper maps ,specular maps Virtual Cockpit (that took me 2 month and a half with the making of some of the main gauges) and couple hundreds of things that the default md 83 doesn't has...

Lotta fun getting this one to fly , fortunate NZCH has a 3.25 km runway and on buying two and a bit years back i had the pleasure off Scott Gentile of A2A giving me a telephone call telling me a few tips , perhaps i was the first customer to purchase it /ohmy.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :o border= 0 alt= ohmy.gif /> The tales of Jack Conroy testing his Mini Guppy are just as fasinating your s /biggrin.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :D border= 0 alt= biggrin.gif />

I wish they would turn ground shadows ON! They make the F22 look like a shiny new plastic Airfix kit. I notice it a lot in many FSX shots and it looks awful.

QUOTE (cowpatz @ Oct 29 2010, 08:06 AM) Before I email it go to and click on File Library. Just put the file name into the search box and leave the category as AVSIM file library (dont make it search specific folders). If no joy I can email it. You will need to log in to access the file library (ie create an account if you dont already have one - its free and done in 2 minutes!) I d/l yesterday without any difficulty - nice sounds /smile.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :) border= 0 alt= smile.gif /> Cheers

I'm interested, but I don't know how things will go schedule-wise during that time-frame (assuming April 2011?). If it's aligned with the real one, I have no idea what's happening with my schedule in 2012, so I'll pass. /laugh.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= border= 0 alt= laugh.gif /> Also, presuming that you want a smooth interaction, this would be through FSX's Gamespy service? Depending on how things pan out, I could fly the following: Lotus Simulations "Aero L-39C" PMDG Jetstream 41 (Origin Pacific or one of the fictional NZ liveries)...
