Finally bought this, now that it is at v1.2, but at $40 it was a bit of an expense. Luckily I'm crazy about trees, so I decided to spend more than I normally would on an addon... Very impressed with the new textures, the trees seem 'fuller', and a lot less repetitive than FTX. However my sim does use a lot of my own trees, so sometimes I have to look hard to see non-Godzone trees. I was hoping that the 'native bush' textures would be able to replace my Godzone textures, but I still prefer mine -- even though I'm not very artistic when it comes to trees:) The new textures are more saturated in...

Great that you "float" this way, and open up a world few would venture into... some pretty good screens to date I thought.

We're all caught up in this .... those of us whom have maintained PHOTOBUCKET accounts over the years at least .... and possibly nobody more than me, "over at HJG", given PB's what I've used, since 2006, to present imagery relating to our previews as well as all of my own "non commercial" aviation histories and FS features which I present over there :) I feel the most despicable aspect of this entire PB debacle is not so much what's been done, but rather, "the manner in which they've gone about doing it" .... given nobody was forewarned of what they were going to...

Probably not the best time to be introducing a new flight sim however it does appear tailored more to the VR users.

Yeah... or, you map your simpit controls back to the headset so you can "see" your hands and feet in the sim! :o Hey Charl now that's sure is a neat idea. Great topic starter by the way. I don't have any sim pit here in the office, could get a little crowded. That would be the ultimate the home made cockpit along side the rift. Be interesting to see how this develops. I find it a bit hard now to go back to my 3 screens and Track IR. Although I enjoy the higher resolution you can use to see the full magnificence of the Map or model or whatever your looking at on the moniter.

same for me not interested in updating until I know for certain all the cockpit building side of things is sorted ie. FSUIPC is updated, Opencockpits SIOC works, and all the stuff I'm spending time building will run. I hope it will all work out and then I will upgrade - but until then ... yeah nice, but ... nah.

Since I bought school (purely to support DT, never installed it) fsw just appeared in my library. However, after reading the comments, have decided not to bother downloading it ... not that I have a sim pit right now anyway... I know the game is early access, but after seeing screenshots and videos, I think it should be re-categorised as 'too-early' access...

FS World early access price will the EUR24.99, so about NZ$40. Flight School I think was EUR15, so NZ$24ish. Trouble with (or benefit of, depending on whether you are buying or selling) Steam is that prices tend to be more, um, fluid. Recall the FSX-se $5 giveaways. I'm old-fashioned, and a developer, so I prefer a good solid retail price, with the occasional sale maybe. with Steam you can flag a game, and you'll get an email if it's on special, which normally doesn't take long...

tossing up wether to get south island, NZMF or NZQN.Luckily I have a jar of pennys handy :D Not too sure whether you mean 'south island plus NZMF or NZQN', as I think you require NZSI to install either of the others, so NZSI would need to come first? Holly Mackeral I am thick ,I never thought of that.Oh darn it can not justify NZSI and a shiny new airport

Don't worry Lawrence, I'm still getting a silly little licence error, what stopped me using years back, dates around the PMDG V2 747, got all the papers and proof of purchase , be just a silly little issue.

Ignore the part about waiting for the next patch in my first post "doh" no idea why I said that . Its an upgrade of Starforce protection software we are talking about here.Just a wee bit of a shame it was not mentioned in the DCS news letter ,oh well not the end of the world  Don't do what I did and read the instruction afterwards lol.

I have many MILVIZ aircraft, a few I shy'd away from, but the reason for a REAL McCoy Driver, youself .. That is why I thru your name in the pot, surprising what gets done with constant check and check and check again within all aspects of a aircraft build and have one who sits in the drivers seat.
