Yeah, at the moment it's taking up too much time, as I'm meant to be working on P3Dv5 installers, and I keep just wanting to try something in MFS.... Still, I think I've got NZCH for v5 sussed, I just want to try some toned-down ground textures, as P3Dv5 tends to have a very different tonal range.
I can certainly see a time when MFS is the only real simulator, and I can't wait to see some of my objects working in it. I've had only positive results, it worked like a charm in my old PC, and works so much better in the new one. I'm aware that not everyone has the same experience, but that was pretty much the situation with FSX. I've just installed Steam, with the intention of installing X-plane and Aerofly FS2 on the new PC, but that just doesn't grab me at the moment.
I've also looked at buying FSXse....
After 20 years of using GMAX, I've finally 'upgraded' to 3DS Max, after discovering their 'indie' license, which is about $3,000 a year cheaper. However I have so much to learn, but it is a lot of fun so far. Technology has just about left me behind, I'm 10 months away from the pension, and in the race against tech, I'm barely hanging on. Still, one thing I've learnt over the last week is that tech makes some things so much easier. And other things so much harder...
