A person only "misses out" if they wanted the thing in the first place. FSX is finally "coming of age", but it's still a badly-written sim with lots of holes and problems. And how is a person's staying where they are and enjoying what they have "missing out"?
I agree that the A2A aircraft are nice. A few things to note:
- For those who enjoy flying and scenery, the A2A aircraft / FSX are not relevant per se. If I'm more interested in the ground I'm passing over, the "prettiness" of the aircraft is moot
- A2A has had to "change" FSX in order to get their aircraft to look / sound good. This just goes to reinforce how bad FSX is.
- One is having to spend some serious dosh just to get a small part of the FSX experience close to where it should be.
- Due to the way A2A designs their stuff modularly, it will work in other sims as well (according to their video)
However, I most certainly agree with your statement about the A2A developments - those guys sure now how to design and build a digital aircraft!
