This is awesome if you have Orbx scenery.

We've decided to heed customer feedback, and in a similar vein to how Ultimate Terrain X can disable its night lighting effects, we have tested some simple ways to disable the FTX lights and found substantial performance gains in city and urban areas, particularly places like Seattle, Portland, Vancouver, Sydney and Melbourne.[/quote]

I suppose this problem happens with all scenery? Amzing to see the difference in frame rates though. Cant wait to try it out.

Thanks for the heads up Eddy. thumbup1.gif

I just did a test on my new rig at Orbx YMML and Orbx YBBN (with Orbx Green and Blue installed too). I have most sliders to max, except water which is "High-2", and auto-gen which is "Very-Dense". I also run FPS-Limiter set to 30FPS max.

Frames went up considerably at Melbourne with lights out, 10FPS boost over both the airfield and city areas.
Frames went up less dramatically at Brisbane, only 2-3 FPS over the airfield and city areas.

Melbourne is now a much more pleasent experience for me, and poor old Brissy still pretty much marginal around the airfield (may stick w Ants Brisbane for now)
