Very Short Term Sale

Read and report on flightsim developers progress of upcoming or completed products

Postby SeanTK » Wed Nov 02, 2011 7:32 am

This lasts until Midnight, November 3rd, US Eastern Time.

http://www.pcaviator.com/store/product.php...=652&page=1

The price for this is normally around $45 dollars, and you can pick it up for less than half of that now!
(The page says 19.95, but when I actually did the transaction, it only cost 17-something.)

Pretty nice looking addon for a surprisingly decent price!

I don't usually jump on these sorts of things, but this looked pretty darn good!

Yeah, I grabbed it, nice little package.
Also, for you regional jet-fans, PCAviator also have the Wilco ERJ 135/145 pack at 60% off, which is a bargain, they're very nicely modelled.

I've been holding out for the A2A 'Stang but couldn't pass up the sale. I would have to say that it is currently the best model out there, although I expect the Accusim version to completely eclipse it. Would have liked a bit more documentation with it, but thats my only gripe. thumbup1.gif

Generally correct yes, but this is an exception to the rule I guess.
For the record, I will be removing this sale on Monday 14th November, so sale is still good for this weekend from our Australian store.

Yup, know what you mean. I am still waiting for the Vertigo Dak for example, not interested in the current models out there. I do quite like this WBS (sale) version of the P-51 purely because it is the modernised version, and A2A will probably only do a period model.

Reason why I wanted a current (i.e. Warbirds) model? A few years back a mate and I were thermalling in the port hills. I was over Castle Rock and he was over the Gondola. We both had about 1000' AGL over the ridgeline when I saw a glint of light flashing down below over the sewage ponds at Bexley. It rapidly turned into a spinner coming straight up and at us, and as it got closer I realised with horror that it was a P-51D at speed heading for the Bridle Path saddle. plane.gif Hard job outrunning one of those in a paraglider and we figured he didn't see us until he was on top of us as he rolled hard at the top and dived down into the Lyttleton Harbour out towards Godley Head. He was between us and slightly below us when he reached us and before he banked hard left to roll away I caught a good look of the piloy and passengers molars as they had their mouths wide open. As he was above 500'AGL, he wasn't technically in the wrong, but the charts show that area as a HG/PG flying area, so he was probably not familiar with the area. I had enough time to see that it was NZ 2415 from (at the time) Ardmore, no idea who would have been flying it at the time but I do remember commercial flights being advertised in Chch at the time. Was quite a rush, although we were glad to not end up as hood ornaments and I had to recreate his flight the other day to get a feel for what he would (or more to the point would not have...) seen as he approached us at speed. We wont forget that moment in a hurry though! cool.gif

I see that Vertigo has anounced a November release for their RV8 so hopefully the Stearman and Dak arnt too far behind.
