Payware FS9/X Jetstream 31/32 from Virtualcol

Finally a payware FS9 and FSX Jetstream 31/32 for all the retro NZ regional fans. Not up to the standard of the PMDG 41 but price seems ok (21eu), the external model looks pretty nice, the VC is decidedly average though by modern standards. Overall though a great step up from the old Historic Jetliners Group model from 2002 smile.gif

Doesn't look that bad considering what's provided at that price. (Note: It's a few dollars cheaper on the developer's actual website).

I'll consider this one. If anyone decides to get it, post some images!

Hey Sean, yeah I bought it, images wise there's a good set on their website, let me know if there's particular detail your interested in.
The sound-pack is great, and the model really is nicely done. As you can see from their pics the VC is a little scratchy but the 2D is ok.
Looking for the repaint kit now

All I'm waiting on is that Metroliner release and I may stop buying aircraft for awhile rolleyes.gif

I suppose if you could provide some close ups of the VC, that would be great. The exterior looks good enough for me!

Noticed on the product page at both Simmarket and their own that they mention a "product console" where you can get additional repaints. Wondering how that works and if it is easily accessible.
Also looks like the paint kit may come later? "Paint Kit Includes downloadable from the console from April 15, 2012."

Noted a lack of window reflections in the VC which may lead to the appearance of flying without window glass, but some more close up VC images...varying panels, etc, may make it less of a deal-breaker. Looking for somewhat decent systems simulation, readable cockpit text, etc, etc.

Overall, how immersive is it?

I think the only operator now is possibly Vincent Aviation, but I'm not sure if they are even doing that anymore. From my understanding, the major operator over there, Air National, folded sometime in 2010/11....

Nope guys, Air National is still operating I think- only a couple of months ago they were the first company to operate a jet (BAE-146) into Te Anau's new extended runway......... Though I don't know whether they are still operating on scheduled services on behalf of Eagle Air smile.gif

Hey Joe, actually Vincent really is now the proud owner of the BAE146, also one of the old National J31s.
you can see the ownership details on www.caa.govt.nz
has even been painted in the Vincent livery, see: http://flyinggeek.blogspot.co.nz/2012/03/v...ew-bae-146.html

VA has one J31 at the moment, -JSH. The ex-Air National J32s will be remaining in NZ and operating with another charter airline here. From what I understand Air National no longer has an AOC so cannot fly, -ECO was indeed the first jet to use Te Anau's extended runway but it was being operated by VA by that stage.

Got excited when I saw the thread title, but sadly this model looks a bit average - I won't be forking out for it, hopefully someone like IRIS makes a J32 as well that's of the quality we've come to expect on FSX.
