Free FSX Scenery placement tool

Not sure if this has already been announced here, but just discovered this FREE tool for FSX Deluxe users...

"Scenery Shortcut"

The Deluxe Edition includes the "Mission Builder", which lets users make very detailed missions while FSX is running, complete with 3D scenery, special effects, voices and much more.

The Mission Builder component for designing scenery is called the Object Placement Tool. This is a flexible utility that lets you select and place 3D objects in the mission with "drag and drop" ease.

The drawback of the Object Placement Tool is that the 3D scenery appears only for the duration of a mission. So if you are not flying the mission, you won't be able to see the scenery.

Since the Mission Editor saves all of the information about these 3D objects, we need a way convert the mission scenery into a true FSX scenery file.

Here's where "Scenery Shortcut" comes to life. This clever program converts the mission scenery files into true FSX scenery files ready to fly and to share with others.

I've always been a bit confused with this tool -- it seems to be based on the mistaken belief that OPT only creates missions. I guess the author didn't realise that you can just as easily save as a scenery file. Maybe the OPT didn't work this way with FSX in the beginning, but I'm sure it has since SP1.

I brought it back when FSX first come out , never used it tho , maybe worth a looksie
