See, for many years the MSFS interface has become so natural, you don't even think about how to change the weather, the airport, the plane.
It's what has stopped me really trying alternatives - the next step (out of FS9) will be a Major One, and one that has to keep me enthralled for, let's see... 10 years or so smile.gif

"FlightGear v2.12 was just released. Can a complete simulator be built open source by enthusiasts?"
Maybe that'll be the one...

Seen a recent flurry of Xplane scenery and addons ... but some reason the large developers have shunned it so i do wonder why the hype and lack of interest , Cliff of Dover , many call it CLOD , i would like to see a good combat sim .. recent what SUBs has been posting , but for the airline boys don't think that mesh's .

I do wonder what it has to offer , i went thru all the "Unlimted" - the "Fly" and gave those away ... limitations between P3D and Xplane are only with what i have brought for MS .. tho many scenery packages can fall into X without a problem .. If i was working i guess i shed some light .. the pros and the cons .. but the returning feature of FS9/FSX is the amount off 3based addons .
