FSX-Native PT Tu-154b2!

Friends,

We now have a full systems simulation (barring the pressurization system) of the Tu-154b2 aircraft!

This was produced through the efforts of Project Tupolev and Kirill Konovalov, and features:

Almost full systems simulation of this Russian jetliner.
Fully clickable VC.
2D cockpit.
Numerous 3D gauges.
Custom sounds.
Other stuff that I have to look into yet.

Flight manual is a must read in order to operate this aircraft. After installation, it is located here:

It's for the 2004 version, but everything applies.

If you want help with it, ask away in this thread. The manual is your best bet at first (at least the "quick startup" *cough*) section, but if you have any general questions, ask away. (Except RSBN navigation....it's not worth learning.)

Just a quite note that this is actually considered a "beta" release, though with this level of complexity, that's mostly irrelevant.

The primary niggles that will be adjusted in the future include:

Full overhead panel click-ability (currently must switch to 2d window of overhead for full functionality)
Some eye candy additions and modeling adjustments.
Really nothing else that would modify the systems other than any bugs that are found, which are extremely minimal and mostly irrelevant to the enjoyment of the aircraft at this point.

Just noting that since the SOH crowd got upset that I didn't say it was a "beta" though it's mostly irrelevant. That crowd lost interest anyway since it's complex.

There was one in production , the Candid , by lead designer Andre Resag dropped tools and walked away and no one ever heard from him again .

Through the very rough translation services of Google Translate, there appears to be some mention of the next big Russian experience being a full conversion, now with a VC, of PT's Ilyushin Il-62 aeroplane on the Avsimrus forums.

We have a couple of brand new repaints available now:

First, we have CCCP-8513, which, according to my book and some online photo references is actually a Tu-154B model (not B-2)....construction number 75A131. It's sister ship 85130 was manufactured on December 24, 1975, so this one was likely completed a couple days after Christmas 1975. It's sporting it's Soviet-era Aeroflot livery, and can now be found parked at a technical college.

Our second livery is Belavia (Belarussian airline) EW-85706, which in the real world is a Tu-154M, construction number 91A881. Formerly CCCP-85706. It's sister ship 705 was manufactured on August, 8th, 1991, so this one probably came out in the middle of the month from Tupolev OKB.
Belavia operated 24 154 series aircraft (B-1 through M) from Mink-2 Airport and Gomel airport.

This may help with the start-up for those learning.
What you are about to view is not actually from a real Tu-154. You are about to view a full and complete Tu-154 home simulator cockpit that uses real Tu-154 gauges programmed to interface with FS.
I don't even want to think about how much work was involved in getting that to work!

Note: He messes with cockpit/cabin pressurization later in the video. That's not applicable to our version for FSX.

As I mentioned further up in the thread, there is an IL-62 in progress that I think will be excellent. From my understanding, it's the same team that did this FSX 154 version....as in....Project Tupolev and Kirill Konovalov.

Not sure on any IL-76 developments unfortunately. That would indeed be a neat one to have!
