Was considering it, but the developer certainly seems to be arrogant and unwilling to fix bugs. Looks like he is instead resorting to mocking what he terms "nitpickers" rather than try to actually address shortcomings in his product which seem to have resulted from a lack of adequate research.

I was about to get it, but not with an attitude like that from the dev. I would be afraid to ask for support on any issues I may have.
I think I'll go for the other Lear product instead.

Of course, the Ctrl-E crowd at SOH thinks the plane is absolutely faultless and the most perfect thing ever. They seem to do that if the author is a member of that forum. Rose-colored glasses AND blinders on apparently...

From what is said, the model was built using P3D SDK for DX11 and has some display issues in FSx DX10 like exhaust out of place. I actually have the older protoype ver and its nice. I also have a freeware saab 105 jet which although not as fancy, actually for teh first time ever gave me a flame out on take off. Wouldnt restart had to do emergeny landing on one, it was so cool.

I am steadily drifting away from SOH. Although there are still some great people there, the neighbourhood has really gone downhill of late.

Looks like they removed the thread over there. Apparently identifying issues and bugs with models over there (created by active SOH users) is looked down upon by both the SOH staff and apparently the author.

In other news....I purchased the Xtreme Prototypes Learjet earlier today (rather than this one) and have been thoroughly enjoying it!

It did look promising , sure the author will fix the issues and obviously have a band of brothers that made the complaints to beta the next version 1.

Do you find the Extreme Learjet VC to be a bit "cartoonish"? Also the external texturing seems to be a bit on the overdone side from what I can see.

I hold a different opinion on it.
I know that a few years ago they had an earlier iteration with different textures both inside and outside, and that the version offered now is "updated". This included toning down the panel lines and rivets on the outside, and updating the VC textures on the inside in general.
I'm happy with the way it looks, and I'll post some screenshots later.

That would be great. I may have come across some older screenshots. May wait and see what the Carenado version has to offer....or not.
