I agree Ian, would be a good comparison between the two Lightnings!

Agree Ian , the JF one (for me is perfect) I dont why these (clever) dudes keep rehashing stuff ... i mean , how many 737's are there now ? .... F-111's ?.... etc etc ..... what about a real Classic Mil jet .... AN F-4 !! any model would do ... the ground work is done by Alphasim and Cloud 9 , im no (or will never be) a model makers backside .... but someone must be onto it ... maybe.

This is ... cretinism.

3 Boeing 737-200 (Milviz, Captain Sim, JF)
3 Boeing 757 (QW, CS, JF)
3 F-14, (Aerosoft in the Works, Dino Cattaneo, Iris)

....

Sorry, but this is in my eyes a hopelessly absurd waste of resources. We have more than enough interesting aircraft, that are not represented in the FSX. I am really angry about.

What´s about a Mikojan and Gurewich MiG 21? We have in Germany a lot of examples of the original aircraft left in Museums, a lot of publications and pilots that have flown them. But, since this Mr. Kok has the command at aerosoft, this is no longer a german Company. They do everything to sell in the USA but not enough for interest of german users. But... Hey! We are the second community in FSX worldwide.

A Mil Mi 8? I have told with Aerosoft about a Mil Mi 8... it is one of the most build Helicopters, flying worldwide. But those Aerosofties think, "we can not sale enough" from them... So what? This is Nonsense. Aerosoft has Kamchatka, but no aircraft nor helicopter to fly in.

I know what you mean, Ian. But looking around the traps, there is a lot of duplication, and it seems the payware people only want to sell an "impressionist" model which looks like all variants of a type, but represents none of them accurately.
I have some UKMil stuff, and I like it. There was an EE Lightning in WIP, and I was disappointed it never became available. Freeware developers are free to produce accurate models of each variant and often they do. I am grateful for that; but I would never demand that those developers abandon their day jobs and their family life just to produce some weird variant that only I ever heard of, and which only existed for six hours or so. Making models is their particular FS hobby (mine is flying in the propliner era ), and I am content to wait for their product.
