Yup it's actually older than that. Do a search on You Tube for St Maarten and you will see numerous inbounds like that also see people on the beach ignoring the signs that say don't stand here, severe jet wash etc.
My fav is a klm 747 taxing and then lining up, everyone runs to the fence and waits. the pilots push the throttles to n1 and let the bird spool up before releasing the brakes. Mean time the crowd is getting pelted with sand and debris, screaming and cussing on why no one told them not to stand there, with the sign clearly in site. the road even closes on each take off to stop the cars getting blown off the road.
