Question .... were those front vanes on the JT-3D's fixed ?.... as nothing appears to move .

, Centrifugal louvers on the engine casings, no slide movement as with the new turbofans.

I need to get this plane so we can multiplay Marty. You in the DC 8 and me in the 747-200 (Similar paint)

Would make for some awesome screenies...

Thanks Ian , ive been a bit reluctant to screen those engines from the front , thinking it was a model fault . And i couldn't find out much about them ....same type on the early 707 models as well ?

Yes , similar it maybe a missing texture , I'll have a look later - shortly

Yep, the most, least best example on other engines of the period is the Roll Royce Conway used on the Vickers VC-10, they are very prominent .
