Decided to go sightseeing around Mt Ruapehu only to have the weather turned on me. I guess I should have read the NOTAM properly .This is real weather from Active Sky. Strictly IFR. Good fun though.
Time to go home for that hot coffee...now where's that runway!!

Hello there. Turangi makes a good base for sightseeing around the central plateau so that's where I started from but in that pea soup I couldn't see the airfield well enough to land so I ended up diverting to Taupo.The airport not the lake! 
I'm using Active Sky's latest which would be v6.
