Two for the price of one:

FS painters would know that these Piper models provide a certain level of ...challenge.

Jeff's first trio, safely held at Tauranga:

Plus, of course, the GNZ LAP Pajero, which is by far the best way to go AI spotting at any airport :P

This is really Adrie's paint, as he did the HTAI stock Cessna 152, 172, and others.
I changed the Reg and got a freebie aircraft for NZ.

Here's one of only two Barons in NZ, freshly painted for AI use over home base Tauranga:

Here's the other (real) one:

It's one of the few times I've given up on something - the model does not allow pinstriping over the window line, it just bleeds colour into the roof.
Pah! Didn't like the colourscheme anyway

Pah! Didn't like the colourscheme anyway

The reason for the problem with the pinstripe over the windows is because the texure is being projected from the side onto the curved fuselage. The closer the pixels get to the bottom or top of a cuved surface the further stretched across they will appear.

Two solutions - 1. stop the pinstripe above the rear window or

2. Use artistic licence - Move the windows down a few pixels (who will notice), make the windows a few pixels shorter (who will notice) then there should be enough room for the pinstripe even if the 2 colours practically run over each other.

GNZLAP PACK 2 is nearing final assembly and should hit the street within 10 days.
Part of the process is of course having a look at what's going to happen in FS world. (And a check ride for the GNZLAP MD500's new lights!)
Well, a bit of a surprise over Auckland today, seems a flightplan was read 4 times, with this result:

Actually, AI can be a little scary.
The S-76 (1 only) is meant to cruise in from Whangerei and do a TNG at Auckland Hospital.
I chased this 4some over the Bombay hills before they made a laazy turn to the east. They flew into a cloud and I lost them.
Wonder where they ended up?
