That pic reminds me, when I was at Wellington earlier this month both Christchurch and Auckland were closed, so there were a
couple of 767s sitting around all day. (I'll just link to the image because its too big for here.)
I was just finishing up 3 hectic days, the last job being a flight over the city to take some photos -- thanks to AV8, who run a Hughes 500 out of the airport. When I landed I was knackered, so I thought I'd have a quiet sit and watch the planes. Bob Leask wandered up and introduced himself. He takes most of the Wellington photos on Airliners.net. He was waiting to shoot the 767s taking off. He took me up the end of the runway where he likes to shoot from, and we waited for a while, but those planes seemed there for good. I had to catch a flight, so I left him there, but by the looks of it he didn't manage to get a shot, because nothing's turned up on Airliners.net.
