Setting up a TS client is as simple as,download the client from goteamspeak, click on connect, add robs' IP,connect=bingo
This is simply the way everyone in the FS world does things,it is very friendly on CPU resources, tried, true and accepted by all,if you can fly Helos you can set up a TS client,no offence and excuse the pun,get with the programme!

Sorry for braking off on saturday, but I was on line for flying!
Talking at 0400am isn't my favorite. Just my dogs were happy: neighbors cats are often active around our stables early in the morning. This morning these cats didn't like NZFF I think. :ph43r:
You have flown on a Swiss server? Please give me the IP, so I can check before..
Next time I'll try to be on line again....... even at 0200-0400am.
I find Robins TS almost every day online, but no members except Robin.
Lets talk, not onely at 02.00UTC !!!

End of the week I go to Poland for 10 days: "flying with horses" in the mountains in the south.
After that I hope to fly in NZ together with NZFF guys.
( Besides, where are the flying women of NZ, I met some experts here in Holland)

Max.

Bardos hang in there,we'll get it sorted,I'm setting up my own TS too as an alternative. The swiss server is re.softplus.net for the game and rw.softplus.net:8767 for the TS.
Jimmy I'll be there at 2pm on Saturday, everyone can you make further suggestions?
Shall we name a spot to meet at so the early birds can do some exploring before we all meet on the ground. Mt Cook or Milford,Manapouri or anywhere exciting where the real weather can present challanges out of no-where and provide scenery as we do it.

The softplus server is owned and operated by Johans Mueller (John). It is known as the 'Swiss server' and people from all over, mainly Europe including the Swiss Airforce fly on. I met John when we were both flying for Flightsim.com in the annual RoundTheWorld air race which happens on the first Sunday after Valentines Day. He is the chap who supplied the 'Duenna',the small piece of software you download and install to validate your flight and make sure you have flown within the rules. He is also a very nice guy who will not at all mind if a bunch of Kiwis' are flying on his server.
We can use our own TS channel (Robins) or the one which is the same IP as the server, although this one has people talking in different European languages, which can be fun too but they tend to fly around the Swiss Alps, not that they wouldn't fly in NZ but without at least the RBE 75m mesh I wouldn't recommend it.
This is just one server of many,I use it because it is always up and running, can handle alot of traffic and I know the guy who's it is. (Isn't it a hard case that we 'meet' people on the net a few times, and actually speak to them on TS we say we 'know' them when the reality is we will probably never actually meet them in the real world!)
You won't need any extra downloads other than NZ things. At least have the Red Baron 75m mesh.

Nevermind Jimmy I'll check in on Robs' TS at all times including Sunday. The forum is good for people to tell us when they are likely to be around. This method helps to stop people thinking "no-one around, may as well go" only to have someone else join five minutes later and see "no-one around, may as well go! The main message is that it is worth having a look.

Bummer,I hate it when that happens! Which file was it? then we know to steer clear of it!
This has happened to me more than once, theres just no way around it if you download and install freeware files. I now have my whole sim backed up on a seperate hard-drive so when it happens again it won't be such a major.
My advice is just delete your sim and start again with a fresh install. Trying to find the exact problem and fixing it is just too time consuming and there is often more problems that only become apparent when you think you've fixed it and find still no joy!
It doesn't take long to install FS,you could still make the multiplayer session and just add your addons as you go!
What ever you do it'll be good to chat on the TS anyway. :)

Just as a heads-up. I started my online flying on WestCoast ATC servers. Their web site is http://www.westcoastatc.com/ .

Anyone can connect to their server(s) and the ping isn't actually too bad (I get 150-250) compared to some on the other side of the world.

They operate 24/7 servers with a pretty good HostSpy page to see who is on and where (world map included) ---> http://64.119.37.62/ - this is their free server, they also have inclement weather servers and ATC servers.

They also have dedicated Teamspeak set up (with instructions on how to set it up and connect http://www.westcoastatc.com/TeamSpeak.shtml )

Anyhow, I thought this be helpful.
