Discuss aircraft addons and repaints for Flight Simulator here

Postby SUBS17 » Thu Aug 03, 2006 7:04 pm

Well thats the best 3d model and skins of the A4 I have seen yet, I'm still skeptical on the actual avionics and flight model as FS2004 is quite limited in this area as far as fast jets go. I'll wait for FSX and then perhaps look into getting some of those addons. I bought a similar payware addon a year ago and was quite disappointed as I was expecting a fair bit more in these areas. (good to see the KAHU there)

There's a CT4. IT's not a great visual model or panel, but it's ok for screenshots etc, and flies well. Built for FS2002 but works in FS2004.

I bought this from ALPHASIM and might do a grey repaint as the RNZAF provided is very dark.
Big helicopter for the job I thought.

I have wanted to do a Cresco and Fletcher for ages (My old FS5 / 98 models are long since outdated). If anybody can help with pics, especially of the cockpit details so I can do a real good VC then that would make the job a whole lot easier.

Any other assistance appreciated

How about a joint project, seems there is a lot of talent here.
Decide on an aicraft, vote? popularity? whatever then ask for volunters, *.mdl, *.cfg and *.air, textures, panels if any one else is up Im good for the model and happy to get advice on best way to set up for textures and panels. That way we could create some quality and unique aircraft. We would just need a place to post files to swap between contibutors. may be a hanger set aside for constrution?

cheers marty

I was just gonna say the exact same thing! I remember there was CT/4B floating around back in the FS98 days, but nothing has come out since. 300hp on a two-seater and handling designed to be challenging makes the CT/4E a good choice for something a little different.

I think most the 'airliners' have been modelled by someone. Primary Trainers are a rarer breed.

Just browsing through this list - lot of our wishes have come true (or about to) over the last 18 mths or so (some of varying quality):

NH-90 - underway
Seasprite - done
Fletcher - done
Pa-38 Tomahawk - underway
Airtourer - underway
Saab 340 - done & then gone!
Cresco - underway
Wasp - done
Twin Otter - underway

Wonder what the next 18 months will bring? I am still keen on an Alpha 160 but also a Tecnam and a CT-4 Airtrainer.
