...you can expect a bit of grot.
Having repainted the Tiger Moth in New Zealand the other day, I flew on over to Duxford... well, Thanks to FS9, one can cheat a wee bit, otherwise it'd have been at least 120 flying hours Laughing
Anyway, the Mount Cook flying taxi got lost and ended up in Duxford. Here she is doing a lap of honour around the 'drome and generally annoying AI traffic that wants to get away.
For those who are interested, each area of dirt and oil and soot is individually layered so I can chop and change per paint. The various tears in the canvas were stitched up en route and the brake fluid leak happened on take off on the last leg to Duxford. A bit messy and we may have a bit of a problem stopping. I will need the grass strip and heave back on the elevator to dig the tail skid in...
(Ackshually, she's still surprisingly clean after 12000 miles...)
(I don't know - do Tigers have brakes? If not, I have modified mine and obviously forgotten to put the resevoir cap on or tighten a hydraulic union somewhere
)Several landings on damp grass fields have left their mark:

Not really that much dirt, just a hint to break things up. There's a neat tear in the fabric that has been sewn up - needed to get into the rear fuselage in a hurry to get at my stash of "goodies" before the customs men came over...:

Houston - no, sorry, Duxford - we have a problem! Red wet stuff leaking out from behind the engine cowling.

Go around, go around! That's what comes from arriving during the middle of a flying display!

Hmmm.... Duxford is rather busy this morning! (If you look up, you can see the swift repair job to the underside of the upper wing - bird strike over the channel!

Oh well, stiill got enough fuel to do this orbit... let's have a look and see who's all down on the ground. Mitchell, Mosquito, Zero, Veechee Deechee, Valiant (or Victor), Dragon and many more - what a frame rate hit!
