Another download I suggest, the NZFF In-Flight Module which you can use to surf the net during our rather long flight ;)

Inspire provides the FS server and the Teamspeak facility. Inspire is a NZ ISP based in the Manawatu that has supported the gaming community for many years.

Some of the guys from KiwiSim have admin rights on the servers, but the one person I associate with providing overall server support goes by the name of Riven.

If you want to thank anyone for the server use, head to KiwiSim and perhaps post in the Kiwi Sim forum.

Why dont you just email inspire.net ?

After all its them thats providing the server directly and customers who contribute with the business provided to Inspire.

http://www.inspire.net.nz/

I have been with them for 4 years now and found out about this forum via the server.

well I have spent the last few days presuring my parants to let me come flying this monday and this is what I have come too...

It is quite a long time and our internet is limited to 150 hours a mounth and when we go over its $2 an hour and I always get the blame in our house.

My Dad (mum gave up and moved me on to dad lol) said I can only do it if I have a 10minitue break every hour :( not very practical

I have consider joining in for the last 4 hours of flying, will this be possible? when will all the fun be?? :P I would need to know all your etas for airports on route please

I think I my save our internet useage and join in for the last part please

Sorry I cant come for the whole thing, I have already had far to much time online this mounth (from the 22nd)

Thanks
James

ummmmm.

YSNF -> YPMQ
Or if you dont want a long water flight
YLHI -> YPMQ ( still water flight but not as long )

I am free from 1 till 5pm, but even that is doubtful.

So, I have two choices, fly some circuits or something. Or help Crazy out with ATC. :)

I think I might do that latter if Craig doesn't mind. ;)

Hey James- great that you can come! Limited flying is better than no flying :D

If you are only allowed 4 hours flying, I suggest you fly only the first and last legs:
First: NZOX-NZKT (1300 to 1344 approx)
Last: YLHI-YPMQ (1813 to 2023 approx)

Our ETA's are:
NZOX- 1.00
NZKT- 1.44
YSNF- 3.28
YLHI- 6.13
YPMQ- 8.23

But this estimate does not include winds and fuel stops, so if you are coming to YLHI, be there a bit early incase we are ahead of schedule, and then you can watch us all fly in.

For anyone else, if you don't want to fly the whole trip, just log on at 8.00 or 8.15 and sit yourself at YPMQ (off the runway of course), and you can watch us all land (hoepfully including Jimmy!)

BTW Alex, it would be neat to have you as ATC too, thanks for voulentering

I'm going to respect Crazy's wish, and let him handle it solo.

Good luck buddy. :D

Note to all:
The endurance challenge got canceled after everyone reached NZKT as the server came under attack from a group trying to overcrowd it and who came onto our COMS channel and started distracting us.

We will reschedule the flight for Sunday December 10th, starting at 6pm.

hey all

I was really looking foward to this... i worked my ass off to finish my work by 12pm and be ready by 1pm....

thanks to some dickheads my working hard was a waste of time... why can't people just leave us alone to have fun flying after all thats what we are all here for is there a way we can put a password on the server so they can't get in..

look foward to trying again on sun...

cheers Todd

:( It's pathetic how people just spoil others fun.

Did you manage to get any names or screenshots of any in-game text Trolly? How were they over-crowding the server, it should be able to cater for at least 100 pilots.

What a shame, perhaps email Riven (or PM him via the KiwiSim forum) and see if he could password the server for a day for you. You guys are the only ones who use it, others only come on if you're there or they stay away.

If you get stuck I could fire up my old FS Host server box (it's in the garage here somewhere) and it would be access via invite (you'd only let those you wanted know the IP)

I would suggest you arrange another TS server for comms next time, whether you arrange a passworded channel on a gaming server or someone hosts a TS session.

Whilst I would not be able to participate I would be more than willing to help out any way I can!
