Is there any special reason why runway 28 cannot be used? Just curious... ;)

Thanks, looking through the Australian AIS, I can't seem to find charts for it, is there any specific place I should look? Thanks. :)

Your talk of terrain has made me more curious. :P

The reason you wont find it is its not a real airport.

Look for Brumlow Top on VNC-3 Newcastle
Its east of scone YSCO

Suonds all very mysterious Craig! I've a few questions :P

What's the significance of the area and the airport - is it a historical site or does it have special meaning to you?

Is it actually called "Brumow Top", is there a "Bottom" ?

What's the prize (or penalty) for using RW10?

Its the highest point in my area, I've been camping up there a few times and its soo peaceful being away from everything, So i thought why not chuck some hotels up there. From the "Lump" you have 360* veiws of the whole area

Is it actually called "Brumow Top"

Yeah, Brumlow is the peak.

lol, yeah the ground :P

RWY10 is fine, RWY28 APP is a bit iffy due to the hill. Small props can do it, but its not advised.

Sweet Craig, thanks mate - I see the mountains are called 'tops', which is something us here in NZ aren't used to.

I hope the area isn't being threatened by the fires over your way :o

I meant rw28 rather than 10.

Funny you should mention fires, Barrington Tops normally has more then one fire through it during fire season.

Nah, no fires here in the area yet
