A Stormy Crossing

After taking the default DC-3 up for a flight at the weekend, I could not resist another go with it, and today I flew her again, across the notoriously stormy Cook Straight, Wellington (NZWN) to Nelson (NZNS).

1. Climbing over the CBD at dawn

3. Struggling to level the wings with all the turbulence

That must have been a bumpy ride as I find the DC-3 very sensitive to turbulence in the best of times.
