hmmm, I have been thinking hard bout this one. Might not join in - yet - but can anyone point me at a site where I can see what the various NZ military camo schemes look like - i.e. army air corps (or whoever do the small heli / liaison) and/or air force.

I feel the need for a paint job coming on. Beaver, SF260, Chippie etc.....

I'm not so sure... 17 years of the real thing, fixing army flying things... Not too keen on all those "military" shots with "guns firing, rockets flying" - which is why I am thinking "paint"

Well <_< .... With the loss of the RNZAF strike wing , and to have private flyers to keep the NAVY boys in touch with the fast movers  .... P3's used as Tactical Bombers    , :( but real , NEW ZEALAND MILITARY .... Woodbourne , home off the many A4's and Macci's ......... the dust, dirt and tumbleweed ! bit like the old Bristols off past .......... WHAT ABOUT THE ORDANANCE CHAP's WITH THEIR BOMBS , ROCKETS , NAPALM & NUKES? .... ?
.
.
.
WHAT THE HELL ARE THEY GOING TO USE!
.
.
.
mmm , here go's the latest to address this problem , BASED! at the new strike base at West Melton (just outside Christchurch), still a heck of a lotta bug's to sort out ... ONE.. it won't/can't fly yet ? the other we don't want to fly it yet , those sharp point'y things on the wing tips seem to make big holes in our airplane :o when ya light em up!

This is a recurring nightmare theme for me -- based on the film Sleeping Dogs, where the US military is invited by a facist NZ government to help quell resistance under the 'terrorism' catch-cry. I guess the scene where New Zealanders are under Skyhawk attack is pretty dated, considering this movie was produced in 1977...
This is the modern version, a Blackhawk patrolling the Blenheim spy base.

Inspired by -MAT's recent post about the Typhoon tailgating a Herk, and recent sightings of a pair doing TNG around Whenuapai...

Great shot Charl - I was going to change my shot to something very similar using the Captain Sim C-130 -- oh well - I need to think of something else original or keep my current one.

Is it really flying on just two props? In which case, maybe the caption should be: "Oi mate, need a tow?"
