brand new floppy drives are cheap and easy to install so that would be something that I would be looking at in your case.
Erm excuse me but Partition Magic is Payware and if you send a copy of that to James you are commiting Piracy.
WEll James It wasn't a waste of time doing the reinstall.you learnt something along the way and you have done your first install of the operating system.That's a plus for you.I do have a question for you though,did you have anything else running when you were flying fs,what icons were in the bottom right hand corner other than the time.If any then I would suggest that you disable them before starting FS.Also did you install the 9.1 update for FS.All I can suggest at this point in time is to have all your settings to the left and start from there.do one at a time and do a flight and see what the fps is.don't worry abt how the scenery looks just the frames.use the same plane and same location.
