Fsx Fatal Error

A forum specifically to discuss the latest and greatest of all flight simulators

When I was running FSX on my old system, I would get blurry textures, despite demanding high-res textures from the settings. I suspect the memory couldn't keep up - so you may find this can be a bit fiddly.

I have the same problem- when cranking everything up it looks great, but as soon as it struggles, the textures fall away.

No need, Jon kindly sent me a disc full of his FSX addons as part of the prize, including some 'un released' projects :P

Hmm, I still can't get sharp crisp textures on my aircraft exterior or VC (gauges are fine though). I have tried all the filtering selections in the display options and turning AA on and off in my gfx card/sim but no change- maybe my old fx5600 just can't handle it :(

BTW, is the only "kiwi" accent the one on the Piha rescue mission (although it sounds more ozzie than anything lol). For me, Auckland ATC still sounds very american, all though they managed to include the word "aye" during a radio transmission which was neat.

It could be the Canadian Controller at Auckland, perhaps its more realistic than first appears. :P

aside from setting global texture resolution to very high, the textures do tend to be blurry. but if your PC can't hack it, it'll give you blurry textures again.

After trying everything possible to fix my FSX problems, I have finally given up and have decided to sell my near new copy of the Duluxe editon along with the stonking PRIMA game guide on trademe :(

I'll post a link here when it's up.

you should keep it, because you'll only re-buy it next year when you have the hardware to run it.

Yeah I agree with Zoltuger, don't be too rash man. Just hang on to it, you never know when you'll come into some money for some new computer hardware.

It is unlikley I will be getting a new system any time soon as I am in huge debt to my folks for the recent trip to Ozzie I just took, plus I need to pay for Flying School next year, and maintain my car...

...so it is with much regret that I have put the auction up here: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing ... d=87545539

It's a separate strategy guide, not part of the FSX deluxe edition.
