So do you have a list of aircraft that you require photos for ? I'm sure I could help out with heaps but way way to many to upload pics on here. What about the list of aircraft that you are doing and subtract the ones that are done and update it every time ?

And that last shot...get real, I can't even tell what kind of aircraft it is! l

Scroll to the top of this topic for photo requirements, makes painters' job so much easier (even, possible!)

Right then Charl.

SKT's logo - dunno. But really, who cares? Something like a logo such as that doesn't really matter on GNZLAP aircraft in my opinion. You could just add a blue and white circle there...

TGI behind the strut: An F, as in Flight Corporation. Refer to Jon's paint for FSX if needed.

Oh and the last one's a Wilga - I don't expect you to paint that!

Many of the current GNZLAP aircraft don't have really realistic liveries (e.g. ZK-DJA, the Nsn Aero club Arrow - it looks completely different)

Haha why d'you think this corner was opened.
Take a look at what was usd to try and guesstimate what that plane looks like:

In case you missed it, that's the original in the top left hand corner.
Pretty impressive huh?
If you have a good side view, with large-scale logos etc, why I'm sure Chris would be happy to update the model!

The biggest problem is getting the right kind of detail, and hours are spent trawling the internet to find 'em.
If you carefully read the first post in this topic, and have those kind of photos, you will become world famous in NZ
The list of completed aircraft can be seen here so anything else is new.

Whoa! maybe you need to get a new video card, monitor, or both
You seriously suggesting a plane like this would be OK with just some blobs?? :o

Right fair enough. But when it comes down to completing this awesome yet huge project, isn't any good photo better than none ? I'm sure you'll agree that out of that big list, less than a third of those aircraft would have ANY photo on the internet let alone side on and detail shots.

What wrong with DJA ? it looks good there apart from the fact that it is actually an arrow rather than a warrior. And carefull about badmouthing photos, i took that one yr talking about

Hi Charl, i'll try and take some shots of the Mainlandair fleet @ NZDN (C152's, a 172, Senecas and Chieftain) and upload them. The senecas spend alot of time flying between Dunedin, Invercargill, Queenstown and Alexandra and have quite an attractive scheme, the Chieftain flies alot of Air Ambulance flights and travels often to Auckland. Also, the NZ flying doctor service (based in NZCH) has a couple of Cessna twins which travel the country, will try and take some shots of these next time they're through. :)

Yes on the internet you have to take whatever crumbs are on offer, mostly not suitable for painting reference.
Photographer's Corner, on the other hand, asks locals for pictures that do make it easier to create accurate models.

The most frustrating thing is getting a photo that has some detail obscured.
Then the painter has to guess what's there.
And sure enough, someone will pop up to say "Oh that's not like the real plane at all!!"

BTW I thought the DJA photo was fine, except the internet version was about the size of my pinkie nail, and you couldn't see the wing markings :ph43r:

So thanks in advance for any paintable pics that find their way in here, it makes life a whole lot easier.

Right boys, I have some apologies to make :o

DJA looks fine. I just had another fly in FS9. My bad. :ph43r: :ph43r:  I suppose with a paintjob that has so little interesting details, one can get muddled.

BTW A185F, are you involved with nelson aero club?
