Hi all
Today I went for a photography trip to NZNS to take some photos of aeroplanes. This time I took a bike lock so I could walk round the perimeter walkway.

Oh and here's a random shot I might as well throw in, it was on the camera.

It's a ship. It's called the Tangaroa and my Dad is the pilot, he's piloting it in to Nelson in the photo.

Nice shots, Nelson actually looks the same colour at the moment as the default FSX landclass for the area, all brown and dry from the summer sun!

ZK-DAN, a Cessna 177. I haven't seen it before in Nelson.

Saw it at Pauanui in the holidays:

Good stuff Brock..........glad to see you went round the walkway........I saw that the walkway isn't on your spotting map in the plane spotters intel..........some of the best spots are on this walkway as I'm sure you know. That sad looking Jet stream 31 is my favourite. Brings back memories of when I worked at Origin. Did you catch its registration?? JSA?,JSI?,JSH? :)

Nik, there were 3 Jetstreams there, didn't see any of their regos. I think one's JSI. And yeh, I did that spotting map on a day where I brought my bike without a lock, so I couldn't go on to the perimeter walkway.

First time I did "plane spoting" was at nzns, on holiday there ages ago, we walked all the way around the airport. had some great shots of the origin aircraft and many saabs.. Is neat standing right at the threshhold!
