VATNZ is proud to present a new feature on www.vatnz.net : VATNZ for GoogleEarth.
Now you can view all the aircraft and air traffic controllers currently connected to the VATSIM network using GoogleEarth:

* Each icon is clickable to display detailed flight or controller information.
* Each aircraft shows current position, and positions over the last twenty minutes all in three dimensions (ie: including altitude information).
* Great circle paths are plotted between aircraft origins and destinations.
* Data is updated every two minutes.

Full information available at: http://www.vatnz.net/cms/index.php?opti ... &Itemid=49

It looks pretty good

Now that is very cool, I wonder how the heck they got the sim data into google earth?

Is it possible for other multiplayer sessions, such as fshost, default FSX and IVAO to be displayed in the same way?

It's a shame the vatsim data is down just when you want to show it off ;)
Very cool though! I look forward to it working

Yeap, there are all sorts of similar things out there, one site that looks promising is www.fsimtools.com ;) .

reminds me of ivae :P

yes IVAO has IvAe witch you can have a 3d globe with textures and even sunlight, not high resolution but looks great when zoomed out a bit, shows routes, airspce boundries etc.. So a bit better than google earth (o how I love google earth on dial up hahaha) IMO..

Neat looking thing thow, must have taken some effort to get taht data in to like trally said!

Absolutely agree!
I flew tonight into San Francisco, check this out!
On the left, me in the sim, parked at the gate, on the right, google earth showing my vatsim progress, at the very same gate!
