FSX MULTIPLAYER NOTAM: FRIDAY 22 MARCH

For everything about online flying around New Zealand

Postby JonARNZ » Thu Mar 22, 2007 11:01 pm

Screenshot time. Jimmy and I shared a cockpit tonight, since we both fell into the category of 'ODD' we began our journey from Palmie Nth to Nelson in the daylight, then into dusk and darkness as we headed into welly and then home to palmie.

and thanks to Nik and Keegan for your ATC this evening, and to Jon for the server once again
and also thanks Nik for abandoning me during our joint cockpit decent- especially seeing as you had a better idea of what you were doing with the instrument approach :P

great screenies Jon

I really enjoyed last night, so neat just haveing the radios and navigation to wroy about, even thow some of my calls were some what late. I enjoyed the approach into wellington, much differant than jsut having the waypoint up on a EHSI, yet having to define points with vor radials and distances, awsome fun!

It think ya picked a good time of day too, that sunset was butiful over the sounds (and whilst jon had to fly the approach and landing I jsut got to keep staring out the window :P )

I must say my landing was the smoothest, when Jon let his autopilot fly a non exsistant flare into welly I actuly got some sparks fly up past the windsheild!! although I had a bit of trouble keeping on the glideslope during finals, I think we intercepted the GS a bit to high..

and thanks to all the atc, really adds to the realisum. but the comms in shared cockpit need a bit of working out still..

I'll post some screenies tonight sometime.

James

Next weeks server will be in the deep south, including Dunedin, Queenstown and Invercargill. If anyone is keen to control NZNV please PM me or flick me a text on 021 114 8544. With the three airspaces so close we won't run a 'NZ centre'. >nzflag<
