Hi all, I'm back from marlbrough with many pics to share. I was there Friday and saturday, however the pics aren't in order.

Nice to see CIT there, no wonder it wasn't at Ardmore this weekend

Also, all the Harvards are operated by the NZ Warbirds Association. Some (if not all) are Ex-RNZAF.

Awsome brock, whats that on the tiger moths instrument panel, were the AI usualy is? Must be odd flying without the AI right in the middle, woudl really stuff ya instrument scan up

I dunno having never flown in one, perhaps a turn indicator? Some aeroplanes have no AI remember

ZK-CIT has no attitude indicator- thats what the windscreen is for! I've modded my Real Air Dekke panel to match this so I can practice the visual method in the sim.

Sorry - not correct - not all Harvards are NZ warbirds owned. Harvard 15 is owned and operated by RNZAF (Historic Flight). They also have a Tiger Moth.

Most correct, Deane. A late arrival into Omaka was Harvard 7660 (currently for sale if you're keen!), pics tomorrow but she was imported in 1996 after being retired from the South African Air Force. I know some time ago Bill and Marci Hane(sp?) had their T-6G "Rozinante", ex-USAF, based at Nelson. A former RCAF one is under restoration with Pioneer at Ardmore, too.

That Yak 52 is ZK-JPW based at Ashburton. One of my friends that Ive known since primary school flew it up there, didnt fly in the display though. He spent the week leading up to the show doing aerobatics around that area. Very tidy aircraft.

I'd love to fly a Yak-52 some day, I think it's my favourite GA aircraft.

A good mate of mine owns a share in that one, flew it up there (same falla chopper nut talkin about) anyways he took me for a blast and I polled it round the sky in all kinds of weird and wacky ways. Nowhere near as nice as the nanchang to fly though Brock

Just through flying an stuff, a fellow warbird enthusiast, he's a yak pilot and i'm a nanchang pilot, good friendly rivalry - gotta have it
