Turbulant landing in Milford Sound

A place for 'real world' pilots and aviation enthusiasts to discuss their hobby

Hi Folks,

Just browsing Youtube & came across this video

Milford Sound

Pretty skilled pilot - looks a bit different to Flight Sim, especially with that sea breeze blowing you all over the show.

Great landing and control for a relatively young and (presumably) inexperienced pilot! Top effort!!

Nice vid but i tell ya what, thats nothing for milford, Ive been in a few times where I've needed full power (all 300 ponies of it in a 185) just to keep from sinking into the ground on base and finals. But great place to fly into though, very busy at particular times of the day
