interesting this speculation has been going on for some weeks yet Microsoft have not as far as I can see made a official announcement.

if it's on his blog it's as good as official. besides, they won't make it official until it's actually released.

can't say i have all my hopes and dreams pinned on SP1, but I'd like to think it makes FSX more accessible to the masses.

210mb, thats ridicolous, they really cocked up the first release then didnt they. don't know how im gana get 210mb of "patch" or whatever...

Whats in it? They must have had a hell of alot of mistakes to fix...

Download manager with the ability to pause maybe? leave it on overnight?

This is the real world I'm afraid, and these days that's how big game updates are. I mean battlefield 2 patches are way bigger than this. 210MB is quite reasonable I think, considering there are some pretty major updates to how FSX responds to multi-core PC's as well as performance enhancements. Should be worth the download on any speed connection.

A 210 patch IMO is quite reasnoble for software that fills up more than a few gigs of HD space.

I went and got the Battle Field 2 patch the other day and it was huge ( over 350mb I think)

210mb should be ok. Just think of all the things you will get out of it
