RNZAF A-4K and RAN A-4k flight

Earlier today me and my mate Bob an ex USN a-4 pilot both decided to take the RAZBAM A-4 skyhawk for a spin and do some high speed low level flying.
Me and Bob holding short of runway 04 waiting for the USAF F-15 to clear the runway
Bob and me heading out over the ocean towards the nearby unidentified naval vessels
Both aircraft flying at 450kts at between 50-100ft away from the sunset.
My skyhawk parked up for the night and off to the local pub for the debrief.

If your parked up for the night shoudnt you turn your lights off? or is that the other one.

No if i turned off the lights you wouldnt of been able to see the skyhawk as it was too dark and their were no airport lights at where we landed.
