man oh man its all about opinions and if you get worked up over someones opinion being good or just way out there ,then you need to take a chill pill ..
pilot error ,poster error ,repairman error ,who really does give 2 _____*
at the end of the day the plane landed the ppls where sweet as and its something to watch on tv and write about here on nzff ...
i dont know anything about A/C and never will know much more than simming ,if you guys hadent mentioned the swicth or any other causes to why you thought it happened i would have never know there was a switch for it
so im learning something ...thanks

Heated subject ,far from it just a differance of opinion ,and if thats just to close a tread then mite aswell lock them all because the same thing happen in nearly in every posting on here nzff and others all over the world thats what makes it tick over ??

think before we speak ,is that in the bible or just a really good saying

I know nothing about planes/airliners ect ect but they are absolutely no different to Helicopters/Cars/Trucks/Buses ect ect ect the list could go for miles but they do all share the same characteristics which are they "CAN ALL" have "MECHANICAL FAILURES" some far more costly and life threatening than others.
But we live in a world where failures of this kind may forever be a potential problem with which ever industry we choose to enter.

Alright guys, time to leave each other alone. Alex has posted before, so please tone it down before posts are deleted or worse, the thread is locked.

Thanks guys!

Not trying to add fuel to the fire but Eagle have had a bad run of wheels up incidents (and I am not suggesting they are in anyway related)

1980s - A Bandeirante belly landed at Palmy North after the one of the main undercarriage wheels fell off - the pilot then elected to land with the wheels up
1990s - A Bandeirante belly landed in Auckland after the wheels jammed up - apparently an engineers Maglite was left in the wheel well which fouled things up.
2000 - Metro belly landed in Hamilton due to a broken drag link.

Initial reports are of the cause of the Beech incident on Monday with ZK-EAK, seems to be a cracked hydraulic actuator in the extension/retraction system for the landing gear. Eagle have done a fleet wide inspection and haven't found any others so far.
