Cessna 177RG for FSX

Discuss aircraft addons and repaints for Flight Simulator here

I found a freeware C177RG on Simviation for FSX.

It's got a good VC and 2d panel, all quite readable:

The model's not all that flash looking, but it's easy on frames. No pilot is modelled.

It's got very good short-field performance as well, not sure how realistic this is though:

It's flight dynamics are okay, though it's got very sensitive pitch attitude - I looped it quite easily. It's easy to trim though, so as long as ya keep hands off the stick during the cruise, it's fine. It's very fast too, as you'd expect from such an aeroplane, it'd be very good for touring.

Was released a few weeks ago.

Not bad - I spent a lot time flying the Dreamfleet 177RG in FS 2002 - only just got around to bringing it over to FS2004. It wont work in FSX - Heres a pic of it in this thread

Perhaps it is just me, but that exterior model looks horrible... fs2002ish or something!

Yeah, this aeroplane is really only for those who don't take screenshots, have an old computer or really like Virtual cockpits.
