Nice shots Troly - that Grand Caravan looks nice - must be Cessna's demo a/c - looks fully optioned with the belly pannier and radar.

Often referred to as the "poor man's DC-10". winkyy.gif It requires a stand under the tail when unloading it to stop it tipping over backwards.

Yeah, saw it at Ardmore the other day also. When the American pilots were parking it up, I heard one say 'only 800 more miles to go' so I'm guessing they are on some Pacific tour?

I was surprised at how big it was, after flying the default fs2004 craft for quite a while- heck its nearly as long as a 1900d and has stairs to get up into it!

At the red and green squares mentioned on the first map in the Plane Spotters Intelligence thread.

Yes quite a big bird. They flew it from the states (at brand new) to oz round the long way I believe (europe etc) to oz then over here. Had like 150hrs on the clock. I think it was going to be delivered to a customer somewhere after the tour (maybe in the pacific)

In the ongoing battle between objects made of aluminum going hundreds of miles per hour and the ground going zero miles per hour, the ground has yet to lose.

What's with the not-straight angle of the prop on this Trislander?

My guess is that it would help with CofG issues due to engine on tail. To find out exactly how it helps would require some thinking so sod that

In this month's New Zealand Aviation News mag, there is a big article about N208AE caled 'The Grand Tour', mentioning the little tour it has been on over here on behalf of Flightline Aviation NZ and that "After New Zealand the N208AE departs for a quick Asian tour and will then be delivered to a Bangkok based tourist operator in Thailand."
