The time has come where I can finally post some screenies of NZ in here! biggrin.gif

Nothing too spectacular to start off, however the moment is quite special. My first touchdown on NZ soil! laugh.gif

My aircraft of choice for the special occasion was a Royal Australian Air Force 707-320C (HJG model) and the flight took me from Richmond air base to Ohakea. Hope you enjoy the shots:

Arriving over the NZ coast

Beginning our descent into NZOH

Ajusting course to land as we come up to Palmerston North

The old girl makes for an impressive sight on final

Touching down on Kiwi soil New_Zealand_etc.gif

Two VIP's making a nice pair.....I may head across to Wellington next rolleyes.gif

Hope you liked it

Cheers

Good show!
Hope you avoided all those pesky F16's at NZOH
Can't remember a 707 with such long engine pods - what are they?

Thanks guys biggrin.gif

Not sure about the engines Charl, The model is the standard 707-320C from HJG (Freeware) and yes I got a clear run in to land at NZOH....I did see one of the F-16's streak off the other runway but he was gone well before I got there laugh.gif

Nice shots Florian - no doubt there will be a RAAF 707 arriving here in October with the F-18s that are coming over for some exercises.

Good choice in aircraft Florian thumbup1.gif she look'd great parked up in Avalon , and recall a display at 88 Richmond thumbup1.gif think he went out to pic up some VIP's since flypass then out for 3 hours , and that was in the old blue pin stripe paint . plane.gif

Once again thanks for the warm welcome everyone! Glad to be "here" laugh.gif

@ Trolly: Yep, the 707 has graced NZ shores a few times before, here is a pick of it at NZAA:

RAAF 707 A20-261

It's even the same rego as the one I used in the sim cool.gif

They are going to be replaced soon by A330MRT (tankers) - so they won't be around for much longer
