Heading to Wellington

Had my first taste of the "REAL NZ" scenery last night as I flew the short hop from Ohakea to Wellington. It is truely amazing with its completley autogened photoreal area. thumbup1.gif Robin Corn has done a beautiful job and I look forward to exploring the city in a bit more detail in a GA aircraft shortly.

Here are a few shots of the Wellington surrounds and my landing at NZWN smile.gif

My first impression of NZ in the flightsim are that it is one of the most beautiful areas in the world to fly in. The addon's avaliable both pay and freeware really give the place a great and realistic atmosphere. The amazing sceneries complimented by projects like GNZLAP along with some really nice flyable a/c repaints let you really get a feel for how it would be like flying there for real (even for me who has never actually been to NZ laugh.gif ). I know most of the developers of all these projects frequent this forum so hat's off to you all! WELL DONE! biggrin.gif

Cheers

is that the RNZAF orion (the download from the RNZAF website) and your NZWN is looking a little empty when it comes to the jets!
But anyway great shots.

P.S. that's is my real birthday but I wish to keep my real age secret to keep you all pondering.

The Orion is from FS KBT and the repaint is from avsim.

As for the empty airport, I did have a few issues in my aircraft.cfg's that i have corrected, but like all AI it also depends on what time and day you arrive as to how busy the airport is.

Well Florian you are a most courteous visitor.
I'd say your comments were very kind, but actually I agree with you that NZ is a truly well-rounded flightsim experience if you get all the bits together.
You'll find places by youself of course, but you may find something of interest in this longstanding thread
