I dug this old girl out of the back of the hangar and decided to get my feet a little wet on my way to Taupo! thumbup1.gif

Sure made one heck of a change from the modern land-based aircraft I usually fly!! laugh.gif

Climbing slowly away from the coast of New Plymouth and into the morning sun

Cruising on a direct course towards Lake Taupo

This thing really must have turned a few heads on the ground....she's not the most quiet plane!

Catching our first glimpse of Lake Taupo

Using the township of Turangi as our waypoint we turn to make our approach

Beginning our descent onto the lake

We probably woke up most of Turangi and Taupo on our way down but I'm sure they would not have been too upset! I mean it's not everyday you get the opportunity to see a Solent flying boat!! tongue.gif

Hope you liked them

Cheers

Nice choice, Florian.
That headon shot shows her off beautifully.
And the last one is all but photoreal.
If I'm not mistaken it's the freeware one (sol_v20.zip at Flightsim)
