A place to converse about the general aspects of flight simulation in New Zealand

Postby dazza28 » Sat Sep 29, 2007 2:28 pm

I don't know if any body can help me out .

but ill ask anyhow.

Now since the Saab's have stopped flying in NZ is there any way i can change there flights to the dash 8s?

I'm using PAI AI craft with Flight plans downloaded from avsim.

Thanks Dazza.

I would say you just change the text in the flight plan stuff to what they say for the dash8 ,just the aircraft used part ,,so bla bla saab-AI to bla bla dash8_AI
but make a back up first of all the important flight suff before you change anything as im not really 100% sure that will work you mite need something like renameit to change them ,,charls and snowman would be the ones to confrim this info but it mite just work you never know how far im off tongue.gif
just back up it all before the changes dude winkyy.gif

Hi, I hope I can help.
Find the folder where you compiled the traffic file, and open the file eg. Aircraft_ANZlink.txt and you'll see something like this:

// Air New Zealand Link
AC#1,200,"Air New Zealand Link B1900D"
AC#2,200,"de Havilland Dash 8-100 ANZX"
AC#3,200,"Air New Zealand Link ATR 72"
AC#4,200,"Air New Zealand Link Saab 340"
AC#5,200,"Air New Zealand Link Jetstream 32 (Air National Color)"
AC#6,200,"VA ZK-VAB 1900d"

Now delete the 'Air New Zealand Link Saab 340' and change it to 'de Havilland Dash 8-100 ANZX'. Save it, and recompile the Traffic_???.bgl to make the changes work.
Let the music be your master... Will you heed the master's call?
