Dont know if this is a technical question or not aaaanyway/ In some multiplayer games i can bring up the map from the task bar or aircraft toggle bar Most times it just shows in the grey scale and nothing. Is this a host setting ?

Is this with FS9, FSX or both?

To be honest, I have never noticed it with FS9... although I have only ever flown on the Inspire server... it may be a server setting which prevents you from 'pausing', which I believe happens automatically when you open the map

Try FSNAV. It lets you run a world wide map, with many extra features such as multiplayer radar mode, full screen without pausing the sim: http://www.fsnavigator.com/

You'll have a very long wait for an FSX version of FSNav. As an alternative, you could take a look at FSCommander http://www.fscommander.com/ which works with both FSX and FS9. Slightly different methodology, but just as good. smile.gif
