It is. My father had photos of them with the hopper in the back but I couldnt find one on the net. This one appears to have been retrofitted with a seat in the back.

I thought it looked like a Stinson from the fin (what you can see of it) - Mr Google helped when I typed in modified Stinson L-5 and came up with an almost identical photo to yours.
