I'd go #1,#2(but upgrade memory),#4 in that order
Number 5 may have more RAM but the processor is slow than core2duo, and turion is slower than AMD Athlon 64.

EDIT: Taken out as it is out of my price range. Also discard number 1 as you can't get it from DSE anymore and everywhere else is $500 more

id go "1" but with better graphic card and more ram "why cause the cpu is the only intel chip set you have there,,in any case id go asus laptop any day i actully went backwards and brought a laptop ,its like buying a poddle to put in your handbag

In that case I'd go #2 but upgrade ram and vid card. Try and look for ones that have Athlon 64 or Pentium(minimum) Core2duo. They all sound good like"wow wow wow!!! dual core must be fast!!!) when (correct me if i'm wrong) you can get single core cpu's better than turion.

I'll probably go with number 4 but get it up to 2GB of ram as the graphics card for number 2 doesn't seem to be that good

If you can get more RAM on #2 then get it as it is better than #4. Also try to get an upgrade on video card on which everone you get.

Btw where are you getting them from an how much are they?

If possible get a desktop.
Out of interest what was number 1? Manufacture and model
If you know someone comming in from overseas you could possibly get them to bring it back for you for no shipping cost and. There are better prices overseas. Aren't you going away during Xmas? cos you could get one while your over there and save the hassle of asking etc.

Don't go for anything with turion. It is old technology and even dual core isn't that fast.

I would think that last one would run it fine. But I would try and get more ram with it as well. Might want to check up on google if others have good frames with that system.

AND...If possible try to get the best video card you can get, because if you are able to(not many laptops can upgrade video card) you won't be able to in the future. Think you have a pc with agp. you want a video card that takes advantage of that until you can get pci-e when it come out(an example, i know pci-e is out, i have a pci-e video card)

Yea, about the only thing that is easily upgradable on laptops is RAM (although on some you aren't able to change it I think...).
