Total frustration

The place to ask for help or solve each others technical issues and discuss hardware

Hi,

I am currently trying to install the Auckland 2005 fix to solve the sinking wheels issue and install the World of AI program.

For the Auckland fix it says to unzip the file and run the Click team installer and then the scenery will automatically be installed... problem is - which file are the talking about?... I've downloaded the zip file 3 times now from the Avsim site because I thought maybe it hadn't downloaded properly. There's only a .gif file, Avsim text file and a read me txt file?

When I try to run the World of AI installer I get the following message "CLR error: 80004005 The programme will now terminate"

Both these issues are really driving me nuts. I am beginning to wonder what my laptop will fly out the window like. LOL

Help! Has anybody had the same issues? Does anybody know how to resolve these issues?

Thanks in advance.

Just noticed for the Auckland 2005 fix, that it said to remove the file named 'NZAA-FS2002-SMOOTH.BGL'. Couldn't find this file even when doing an advanced search including hidden files etc...

The original author (IMHO) did not make the 'fix' very clear... essentially they just added the comment about removing the .bgl to the original readme (with all the original instructions about using an installer?!!?)... its a little confusing!

Anyway, this BGL should be in the scenery folder where you installed the original Auckland2005 scenery...

Unfortunately, I do not use this scenery, so I cannot really help any more than this sad.gif

Finally found that file and got rid of it. Runs sweet now.

There's an issue with Whnuapai... when the sim places you on the active runway, you're actually sitting on the grass beside it. Hmmm.

That sounds like just a problem with the AFCAD, you'll need to change the starting locations using the AFCAD program. I think...

AFCADs are all greek to me at the moment. Which program do you need to edit them?

You'll need a program called AFCAD221 if you want to edit them.

I've just sent you a pm winkyy.gif
