3D Simming

A place to converse about the general aspects of flight simulation in New Zealand

Hi guys,

I've just recieved an email from Kevin of Ice AV, about a 3D monitor that can be used for Flight Simulator. The 3D effect is created through using a special monitor and just wearing polarised sun-glasses. This has potentially unlimited applications, including Flight Simulation, as this product is compatible with FSX (I'm not sure about FS9, I'm sure Kevin will be able to let us know).

You can find more info about this from the Ice AV website. It'll be interesting to see whether this catches on; I wasn't particularly enthusiastic about it, but Kevin has managed to persuade me that it does look pretty cool. thumbup1.gif

As far as I know, you can download drivers for your graphics card to do the red-blue thing and just but some $2 shop red-blue glasses.
But it sounds interesting, no doubt with a hefty price tag

Isn't it evident?? Boeing are my favourite aircraft.

P.S. that's is my real birthday but I wish to keep my real age secret to keep you all pondering.
