Couple of photos from Stockholm Arlanda taken early morning last week. Lovely light and lots of activity. Don't you just hate airports where you cannot get out onto the roof or terrace to take photos? Spent a fortune on a good lens, only to take photos through dirty double glazing. Aaagghhhh!!

smooth landings.

Nice Aeroflot new look!
Makes me want to rush off and get all that new Russian AI traffic.
Was the German heading for the terminal at high speed?
Looks like a final-resort emergency braking routine...

Nice photos, always nice to see some airport activity from outside NZ. I like the new Aeroflot colours, it seems quite a few Russian airlines are shaking off the reasonably boring old Soviet style paintschemes; I'm sure some of us at least are familiar with S7 Siberian Airlines' new fluoro green colours... dry.gif

The Lufthansa Canadair had just finished push back and was about to start taxying. Also managed to snap the inbound Ethiopian, but again through dirty double glazed windows.

Smooth landings!!

I love seeing shots like these from the other side of the globe- you have captured a great mix of aircraft and airlines that we don't see too much of down under. Thanks for posting!

Alright then, a few more!!! First from Stockholm Bromma airport, which is usually very quiet. The frequent visitors there are BaE 146s on domestic services, plus a few from Brussels, and a few corporate jets. Lucky to capture this DC3 there.

There is an old Caravelle parked at Stockholm Arlanda, note the wing fences which seem to have fallen out of fashion:-

smooth landings.
